Using Sencha Cmd to Create a Production Build

Page of 168

Sencha Cmd provides a collection of powerful, time-saving features that are designed to work together and in conjunction with the Sencha Ext JS and Sencha Touch frameworks.

Sencha Cmd is designed for Sencha Ext JS version 4.1.1a or higher and performs the following functions:

  • Compresses and minifies your application's source code in order to greatly reduce the load time of your application.
  • Code generation tools to generate entire applications and extend those applications with new MVC components.
  • Powerful code selection tools for tuning what is included in your application's final build, determine common code across pages and partition shared code into "packages" - all using high-level set operations to get builds exactly as you want them.
  • Image extraction to convert CSS3 features (such as border-radius and linear-gradient) into sprites for legacy browsers.
  • Integration with Apache Ant
  • Robust logging to help you understand the inner workings of commands and facilitate troubleshooting.

At the time of this writing, there is no direct integration between Sencha Cmd and Sencha Architect.
