Most Ext applications start with the instantiation of a Viewport component. The Viewport automatically scales to fit the available width and height of the browser window. There can be only one Viewport per application.

Typically, Viewports are defined with a Border layout that enables you to split the screen into multiple independent regions as illustrated by the figure, below:
