Programatically Setting Breakpoints

You can set programmatic breakpoints by inserting the following command into your JavaScript:

debugger;

When Google Chrome encounters this command, execution of your app will pause and your script will appear in the Sources section of Chrome's developer tools as depicted in the figure below:

Stepping Through Your Code

As depicted in illustration at right, you can use the debugger controls to interactively step through your code. You can also set Watch Expressions in order to view how your code changes the contents of your variables.
