Lou Barber is manager and founder of FDUG (Flash Development User Group,www.fdug.org) in Richmond, VA. He started this group with the intent to educate, communicate and network Flash Designers and Developers. Lou is a Certified Adobe Instructor in Flash CS3 and enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge of Flash to anyone willing to learn. Lou's technical ability includes many different skills such as, Server Administration, Graphic Design, and Programming, but his true love is Flash. His history with Flash began with Flash 3 and he has since earned a developer certification in Flash 5, Flash MX and Flash MX 2004. Lou is also co-author of "Flash 8 Unleased". He is also Owner/Creative Director of, Silhouette Multimedia, LLC, a company specializing in Flash Web Development and Flash Applications. He has been the driving force behind some very impressive and unique web sites and continues to introduce the advantages and strengths of Flash to prospective clients.

Steve Bird has been working in the internet development field since 1996. He took up Flash in 2000 and has developed Flash rich internet applications for clients such as Hanes Printables, Outer Banks Shirts and Champion Sportswear among other clients. Since becoming a certified instructor, Steve has provided training for clients including ESPN.com, the University of North Carolina and Cisco Systems. In his other life, Steve is also a comic book inker. He has worked on titles such as Detective Comics, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Hard Time, Checkmate and The Outsiders.

Dan Blackman is a Senior Web Consultant, Project Manager, and Adobe Certified Instructor. He holds an Advanced Certification in ColdFusion 5.0 and MX as well as his certifications in Macromedia Flash MX/2004 and Dreamweaver MX. He has 8+ years experience including business development, requirements definition, modeling, and software development using technologies such as ColdFusion MX, Flash MX/2004, HTML, Java, XML, and RDMS's such as Oracle 8.x/9.x and SQL Server 7.0/2000. Dan authored several chapters in the recently published book, "Dynamic Publishing with ColdFusion MX". The chapters covered the new features of XML, the new built-in security mechanisms in ColdFusion MX, and the theory behind building workflow managment into content management applications. Dan has worked on several highly recognized web applications for Verizon Information Systems, Macromedia, and University of Buffalo along with being an active member/presenter in the Dallas ColdFusion User's Group.

Stacy Cates has been in the graphic design and printing industry for more than 20 years. She has been teaching Adobe Photoshop since 2001 and holds Adobe Certified Instructor and Comptia Certified Technical Trainer certifications, as well as a Georgia Institute of Technology Certificate in Web Design. Her teaching experience ranges from training one-on-one to teaching college-level computer art courses. Stacy brings to the classroom knowledge about a wide variety of practical applications for Photoshop. She specializes in using Photoshop to design and prepare images for printing, to color-correct, and to retouch images. Stacy has earned numerous awards for publication design and an award for Web design from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. She also has been selected by Wiley Publishers to author the next version of their Photoshop Bible.

Steve Drucker, Founder/President of Fig Leaf Software, has been implementing innovative, award-winning web sites with Adobe tools since 1996. Sites he's developed include a ground-up rearchitecture and reimplementation of the Voice of America web site (www.voanews.com) using Adobe ColdFusion and the CommonSpot Content Server from Paperthin, Inc. VOANews.com is comprised of 44 sites in 44 different languages supporting 500K content items, 120m+ hits/month and output to web/rss/windows mobile/wap/blackberry devices. He has been a featured speaker at several trade shows including the Adobe MAX Developers Conference and CFUnited. Steve has developed about a dozen hands-on, instructor led courses -- including acting as course architect and lead developer for Adobe's official Advanced ColdFusion courseware and JackBe Inc's Presto courseware. Steve became a certified Adobe instructor in October 1997, and earned an "Adobe Master Instructor" rating in 2003. Steve is a certified instructor for ColdFusion, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Presto, CommonSpot, JavaScript / AJAX, SQL, Adobe LiveCycle, and Adobe Presenter. Recently Steve has been focusing on converting his courses to an online format and playing Frisbee, Ping Pong, and Air Hockey with his two sons (ages 8 and 4).

Ken Durso is currently the owner and principal instructor at the Multimedia Resource Group, an Adobe Authorized Training Center in Silicon Valley. His training experience also includes working for Macromedia as their trainer in San Francisco and working as a technical instructor at the Multimedia Studies Program at San Francisco State University were he was named a Master Instructor.

Jane Edwards received her B.A. in English and Journalism from New York University, with a semester on World Campus Afloat. She has been a desktop publisher and trainer for more than 20 years. She specializes in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat on both Windows and Mac platforms. She is a recipient of the Faculty Excellence Award and is a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT).

As an Adobe, Google, and Paperthin Certified Instructor, Dave brings a deep understanding of Web application development to the leadership team. Prior to joining Fig Leaf Software in 1997, Dave designed and implemented custom client-server software for several Washington D.C.-based trade associations. John "Hack" Hackmeyer is the owner of the security education services firm CyberCrocodile, LLC. Hack spent nearly a decade as a security systems engineer for companies such as: Intermedia Communications, Riptech, Symantec, and Websense. As a former Websense engineer and current Websense Certified Instructor, Hack brings a wealth of experience to the classroom in an effective and entertaining style. Hack is also the creator of the wildly successful teaching methodology Conceptual Linking?. By utilizing the Conceptual Linking? methodology in his CISSP prep course, Hack has given his students the ability to quickly learn, retain, recall, and utilize the plethora of information required to pass the CISSP exam. Hack holds a B.S. in Communications and an M.S. in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University. When he's not teaching, Hack enjoys taking a beating from his kung fu instructor.

Seth joined Fig Leaf in 1999, bringing significant sales and marketing experience to the Fig Leaf team. In his career with Fig Leaf, Seth has helped clients find technical solutions to business and organizational needs. Playing an integral role in building product, consulting and training sales, Seth has developed and continues to successfully maintain relationships with clients and key business partners. Seth also spearheads Fig Leaf's Adobe Breeze practice, where he helps clients learn, evaluate and use Breeze to solve a variety of online training and communication needs. Prior to joining Fig Leaf Software, Seth was an Account Executive at Nextel Communications. Seth holds a BS in Political Science from the University of West Georgia.

David Locke, principal consultant with WordSmith LLC, has worked with computer documentation and training since 1985, specializing in online information systems. He was a charter member of the original certified RoboHelp trainers and consultants group. A member of the Society for Technical Communication, David presents regularly at local, regional, and national conferences, and at other computer training events, like Writers UA (formerly WinWriters). He has judged STC documentation competitions, and served on the online document competition committee. David has earned more degrees than he needs from Cornell and Brown Universities. He served the Peace Corps in Brazilian urban education programs as a volunteer, a trainer of volunteers, and an administrator. He taught at several colleges and universities, and has worked as a cook and a carpenter.

Bob Segal joined Fig Leaf Software in January 1999, and currently serves as a senior developer and development team leader. Scott has been in the web development field since 1992. In 1998 Scott discovered ColdFusion and never looked back, developing large and small scale applications for Federal Clients such as the FAA, NASA and the Department of Justice and private clients such as the American Psychological Association and Clayton Homes, among others. In 2010 Scott became an Adobe Certified Community Expert in ColdFusion, and is working towards his CTT+ Certification.
